Parshat Tazria begins with the laws of circumcision one of which is that when performed on time, on the eighth day, circumcision supersedes even the prohibitions of Shabbat. Circumcision is on par with saving a life on Shabbat, which also supersedes the Shabbat’s prohibitions. The Rav explains the connection between the two. He then goes on to explain how circumcision, the Shabbat, and the rest of the commandments correspond to the three parts of our super-conscious.
